This is a full-time position available for immediate hire. The company is a reputable third-party medical billing firm providing billing and consulting services to clients across multiple provider specialties. Patient Account Representative Qualified applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare call center, medical office, or medical billing environment. Experience handling high call volumes and working with multiple provider specialties is strongly preferred. Familiarity with medical billing systems or EHR platforms is a plus.
Required Exposure
Inbound and outbound patient calls
Insurance-related inquiries
Patient demographic updates
Basic insurance eligibility explanations
Payment inquiries and patient balances
Customer service and issue resolution
Documentation of call activity in billing systems
Responsibilities
Answering and managing a high volume of inbound calls
Responding to patient questions regarding billing statements, balances, and payments
Communicating professionally with insurance carriers, provider offices, and internal billing teams
Routing calls and issues appropriately to billing, A/R, or management when needed
Documenting all interactions accurately and thoroughly
Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a positive, professional demeanor. The ability to independently resolve issues and follow established procedures is essential. Effective coordination and timely communication with management and team members is required. As we operate in small teams, the ability to work well with others is absolutely necessary.
