Job Posting Title: HR Assistant
Time Type: Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in: recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support for the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events as needed, drug tests and contact selected candidates).
Coordinates the new hire orientation process (e.g., schedule orientation, prepare orientation paperwork, and create employee files), including I‑9 completion/compliance.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Provides support for auditing, reviewing and processing paperwork and forms.
Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR assessments.
Maintains confidentiality and performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
Supports payroll processing.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES
Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse; temperatures can range from mild to moderate.
