Data Center Technician
San Antonio, TX - onsite
6-18 Month contract
Pay Range:
$30 - $32/hour on W2 based on skill level & experience
Shift:
Day & Night Shifts available
What's the Job?
Prepare, stage, set up, and perform
startups and shutdowns of IT equipment , following specific instructions and safety protocols.
Conduct
post-execution quality checks
to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
Diagnose and
troubleshoot hardware issues , quickly identifying causes and performing
break-fix repairs
on faulty components.
Decommission hardware
for system refreshes, including
memory upgrades and OS rebuilds .
Monitor systems for
equipment failures or errors
and respond to program error messages effectively.
What's Needed?
Computer Science majors
OR
CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications .
Experience as a Data Center Technician , with
hardware break-fix responsibilities .
Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of
computer hardware, servers, and components .
5-7 years of experience supporting
IT equipment
or related technology.
Basic understanding of
Microsoft Office applications
(Outlook, Excel, Word).
Flexibility to work
non-standard business hours , including weekends and/or holidays.
