Job Description
As Marketing Manager, you will lead the company’s brand presence, market positioning, and growth strategy across the construction and development sectors. You will align messaging, sharpen brand identity, and ensure communication excellence across all channels, elevating visibility and reinforcing Vanguard’s leadership in New York City’s built environment. Your focus will be on strategy, branding, content creation, pipeline support, and market awareness. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and refine the annual marketing plan across digital, print, and industry channels. Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent messaging across proposals, presentations, collateral, and online platforms. Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and differentiators within the NYC construction landscape. Elevate the firm’s portfolio through case studies, photography, project storytelling, and award submissions. Create and manage all marketing materials, including brochures, project sheets, proposals, pitch decks, firm overviews, and capability statements. Maintain and update marketing templates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment. Produce visual and written content for newsletters, project updates, thought leadership, and targeted campaigns. Collaborate with project teams to capture progress images, testimonials, and milestone updates for ongoing marketing use. Oversee digital presence, including website updates, social media planning, analytics monitoring, and targeted outreach strategies to increase visibility with developers, architects, and key industry partners. Implement content strategies and best practices to strengthen market positioning and expand engagement across all digital and industry-facing channels. Track performance metrics and provide data‑driven recommendations to optimize reach, conversion, and brand impact. Develop customized RFP/BID submissions, proposals, pitch materials, and client‑facing messaging in collaboration with leadership and project teams. Manage and organize all marketing templates, boilerplate content, resumes, project sheets, and databases used for proposals and pursuits. Support executives and operations with client presentations, conferences, and industry events that advance business development goals. Maintain an up‑to‑date repository of project wins, pursuits, and pipeline insights to inform future strategy and strengthen competitive positioning. Assign BID project numbers and maintain log of assignments and tracking. Manage and maintain handbook of policies, procedures, and standardized workflows that improve operational efficiency and support consistent marketing output. Prepare marketing‑specific welcome materials and introduce new hires to company policies, brand standards, templates, and marketing procedures. Train staff on using marketing tools, submitting project updates, bios, photography needs, and content requests. Maintain and organize all marketing templates, including contracts, correspondence, and materials supporting bids and proposals. Develop, update, and manage marketing‑related procedures, workflows, and digital asset management systems. Streamline proposal creation, review cycles, and internal content‑sharing processes to improve efficiency and output quality. Implement workflow and process improvements that enhance operational consistency, brand alignment, and overall marketing performance. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered. 5+ years of office management in construction, architecture, engineering or real estate environment. Administrative or operations experience (construction industry preferred). Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Salesforce, Canva, InDesign. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and proactive approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
