The Role
The Video Editor plays a critical role in shaping the stories that move hearts, stir action, and build connection. This role turns raw footage into compelling, polished, emotionally resonant content that reflects the heart of Flatirons.
You’ll own the post-production workflow from raw footage to final delivery, handling organization, audio, color, pacing, and delivery, while collaborating closely with your video team and the Creative Director to ensure every piece aligns with campaign goals, brand standards, and the mission.
What You'll Do
Edit messages, campaigns, social content, story films, and event recaps using DaVinci
Shape visual narratives that connect emotionally and clearly communicate the intended message
Apply creative direction and brand guidelines consistently across platforms
Manage post-production workflows: file naming, folder structure, backups, and exports
Sync audio, apply light color correction and grading, and prep deliverables for YouTube, in-service, and social
Revise content based on feedback with speed, clarity, and professionalism
Maintain version control and organize internal media libraries
Occasionally support basic motion graphics or coordinate with motion partners
Contribute to a collaborative, feedback-rich creative culture

Professional Qualifications
Advanced skill in DaVinci Resolve (editing, color, audio workflows)
Proven experience editing long-form and short-form content
Strong instincts for story structure, emotional tone, and pacing
High attention to detail and ability to work within brand and campaign systemsOpenness to feedback and iterative improvement
Basic After Effects or motion graphics experience is a plus
Strong file management and project organization skills
Ability to travel occasionally for on-location shoots (local and international)
