Responsibilities
Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
Unload and sort through store deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
Maintain all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure other Bakery team members follow them.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old with a minimum of two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience.
Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and excellent customer interaction skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to give direction and participate in a team environment.
Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
Ready to stand for up to 8 hours per shift, with the physical lifting and transferring requirements listed.
Adherence to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations with a Food Handlers permit.
Pay Range $17.30 – $24.20 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
