SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the director of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Coordinator, the Staff Assistant shall assist in the planning and implementation of SANE Program functions by providing administrative support. Tasks may include assignments that are sensitive or confidential in nature, coordination of the lending library, assisting with coordination, registration and set up of trainings, organization and tracking of clinical training log submissions, administrative support for the Medical Forensic Services Implementation Task Force, inventory and ordering of training supplies, and arranging travel. The Staff Assistant will provide on-site logistical assistance such as staffing the registration table at trainings, workshops and conferences. As needed, the Staff Assistant will assist in the preparation and distribution of training and other outreach materials related to the SANE Program. In addition, the Staff Assistant will research and review publications and materials from other states and similar programs to assist with the development and implementation of the Illinois SANE Program. Staff Assistant shall also assist in the generation of reports and data submission as required and will perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, political science, human resources, organization development or 4 years of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of a professional management training program is required for this position. A working knowledge of the law, rules and regulations as they relate to the specific bureaus/departments or special projects is helpful. Attendance, the ability and willingness to travel as needed and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position.
Hours of Work 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
