Apply now for this role. The position seeks a seasoned claims adjuster skilled in Workers' Compensation, capable of handling multiple jurisdictions and a high-volume caseload.
Description The candidate must know and understand Workers' Compensation and be willing to learn additional jurisdictions. The position requires you to handle a caseload of approximately 150 pending claims covering all complexity levels, including establishing facts of loss, coverage analysis, investigation, compensability/liability/negligence determination, coordination of medical care, litigation management, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, fraud identification, and appropriate vendor use. Timely reserve analysis & report completion is required. Attendance at conferences, client meetings, mentorship of other adjusters, and assistance to management are also expected.
Licensing & Experience
Valid license in your state of domicile; additional state licenses preferred.
Will obtain licensing in all states requiring licensing after hire.
3 to 5 years of overall claims experience handling Workers' Compensation claims.
Eligible for reserve/payment authority level of $50,000+ when appropriate.
Must possess required Adjuster’s license(s) with ability to obtain additional jurisdictional licensing.
Responsibilities
Handle a caseload of ~150 pending claims.
Establish facts of loss, perform coverage analysis and investigations.
Determine compensability, liability, negligence, coordinate medical care, manage litigation, assess damages.
Negotiate settlements, identify potential fraud, use authorized vendors.
Perform timely reserve analysis and complete reports.
Attend conferences, client meetings, mentor junior adjusters, and assist management as needed.
Ensure file handling complies with state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines, and NARS Best Practices.
