Pile Driver / Welders Travel:

required throughout PA, MD, DE, & DC

Pay:

$20.00/hr - $28.00/hr (Based on experience)

Wagman is currently looking for a Pile Driver / Welder to join our Geotechnical Services team. Qualified candidates must possess at least one year of related experience, including knowledge of driving piles (sheet piles, H piles, concrete piles) and welding ability (stick, MIG, TIG, oxy‑acetylene). They must hold a valid driver’s license, be able to travel in the Mid‑Atlantic area, and work safely at heights up to 150 feet. The role is safety‑sensitive and requires compliance with federal contractor drug‑testing policies. Candidates must hold a D1.1 or D1.5 welding certification.

Qualifications \

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Welding certification with pile‑driving experience

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Functions

Connect hoses and whip checks

Assist in loading and unloading casing and drill steel

Pre‑prep wale steel and understand drilling processes

Align drill locations and lay out studs properly

Install lagging plates and Hilti bolts; use chain‑saws, burn torches, and other tools safely

Assemble strand tendons, bars, regrout piers, and related components

Spotter for drill and other equipment moves

Weld studs and miscellaneous items with appropriate cutting torches

Climb piling leads up to 160’ to position piles

Use burn torches to cut piles and concrete saws to cut timber piles

Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jack hammers, and other construction equipment as required

Hook and rig material for movement by crane; measure and mark piles with tape

Record statistical data for load tests and other piling operations

Clean up project site debris

Carry, load, unload, and stack material as needed

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 60 lbs from ground to waist level and 30 lbs above shoulder level each shift

Work at heights up to 150 feet

Continuous standing and walking required

Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands

Climb ladders, bend, squat, kneel, and crawl

Work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather

Have acceptable corrected vision and hearing; ability to reach, lift, and work in uneven surfaces and confined spaces
