Job Title: CNC Press Brake Operator
Location: Ashland, VA Shift: 1st Shift Pay Range: $24 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team in Ashland, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general sheet metal work and CNC programming, along with the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and perform high-precision fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC press brake machines to bend sheet metal parts per specifications
Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints
Select and install appropriate punch and die sets
Calculate bend lines and apply bend allowances accurately
Work with a wide variety of materials and thicknesses
Use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Recognize correct part orientation and bend order
Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and customers
Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and a positive attitude
Take responsibility for work performed and outcomes
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of general sheet metal experience
Strong CNC programming knowledge and hands‑on experience
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and stand for extended periods
Experience with punch and die selection and installation
Excellent understanding of bend allowances and part orientation
Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and responsible work ethic
