In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For Consistently maintaining all department assets within their operating context to ensure daily Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment target achievement, taking a proactive viewpoint, demonstrating continuous learning to self‑evolve, displaying strong ownership and accountability for all tasks, and completing/supporting any other tasks as directed by Team Coordinator, Team Lead, and/or Unit Lead.
Typical Day for an Industrial Maintenance Technician
Supporting the department in achieving daily production targets
Performing daily equipment inspections/checks for abnormal situations
Documenting daily equipment related activities
Suggesting and implementing approved ideas that reduce potential downtime
Performing preventative maintenance and continuous improvement of Equipment, Tools and Processes as required in order to guarantee Safety, Quality, and Delivery Targets
Performing equipment modifications as required to support Business Plan initiative, New Model requirements or other re‑tooling requirements.
Daily Tasks
Equipment inspections/checks
Daily reporting and tracking of activities
Preventative Maintenance
Continuous Improvement activities
Provide immediate response to production floor needs and requirements
Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience with a degree or technical certification OR 2‑5 years of experience in an industrial environment
Role Specific Skill Requirements
Electrical/Mechanical Aptitude – capable of modification or repair of equipment without support
Adept with testing instruments and hand tools
Overall experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical components
Understanding of blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics
Experience with Motoman or Fanuc Robots
Experience with Omron PLCs
Ability to troubleshoot and help determine root cause
Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift and be flexible to change work hours as needed
Additional Skillsets To Be Successful In This Role
Basic knowledge of Microsoft products
Ability to communicate clearly in written as well as verbal formats
Ability to Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) follow up items
Ability to adhere to/comply with all safety policies and regulations
Possess a strong sense of self‑drive and direction
