Position Summary
The Department of Surgery is looking for a Student Research Worker (CU Student). Incumbent will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision. Responsibilities
Collaborate with our engineer to design and model components using CAD software. Research and utilize optical pathways to direct light from the light cord onto the surgical field. Conduct research and development to compare the intensity and illumination of our device with current surgical headlights. Conduct research on the video recording devices to seamlessly integrate into the surgical workflow. Contribute to the software development for embedded systems and explore cloud storage solutions for video recordings. Ensure compatibility of the device with standard sterilization processes. Support the compliance with regulatory standards and certifications. Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalency certificate. Technical training or equivalency, and 6 months of related laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD software for product design and modeling. Basic knowledge of software development for embedded systems. Familiarity with cloud storage solutions for video recording. Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering. Other Requirements
