Role Overview The Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician will drive network stability and sustainability while developing automated scaling solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Maintain safety and security standards.

Follow established installation procedures.

Operate material handling equipment safely.

Install fiber and copper cabling.

Complete equipment patching.

Travel between data centers (personal transportation required).

Lead site teams and assign tasks.

Train new team members.

Provide constructive feedback.

Drive project completion within deadlines.

Required Competencies

Technical aptitude with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Clear written and verbal communication.

Ability to work independently and lead teams.

Quick decision‑making and effective prioritization skills.

Physical Requirements

Lift/move 40 pounds independently; participate in team lifts for heavier items.

Work in confined, elevated, and noisy environments.

Stand and walk for 8+ hours daily.

Navigate ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

Operational Requirements

Travel between data center sites (must have reliable transportation).

Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, to meet deadlines.

Act as a key point of contact (POC) across departments to support organizational goals.

Provide direction to small teams and vendors.

Basic Qualifications

Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.

Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.

Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.

Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
