This position supports the University of Iowa’s College of Nursing recruitment and admission initiatives for the BSN (pre‑licensure) and, as needed, graduate (MSN, DNP, & PhD) programs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and assess recruitment and yield programs for BSN and graduate programs, coordinating with admissions and external partners.

Serve as a liaison to support the College of Nursing Visitor’s Center, Hawkeye Visit Days, and virtual information sessions.

Plan training for staff, students, faculty, alumni, and volunteers involved in recruitment programs.

Consult with secondary schools, community colleges, and other educational institutions to explain admission policies.

Maintain effective working relationships with public and private agencies, program participants, and University units.

Assist with application processing, transcript evaluation, and data collection for graduate admissions.

Manage admissions logs, applicant communication, and enrollment data analysis to support admissions and enrollment management.

Support transition programs, orientation programming, and data reporting throughout the admission process.

Coordinate and develop print and digital recruiting information, ensuring program webpages are reviewed and updated as needed.

Assist with budget planning for recruitment initiatives, maintaining procurement card procedures.

Develop documentation on recruitment and admission policies, and serve as a liaison to program committees.

Collaborate with marketing, communications, and information technology to facilitate student information updates.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One year or more experience in program management or secondary education/higher education.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills for customer service.

Experience developing and leading presentations.

Ability to work independently and as a team member to accomplish goals.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and internet search tools.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience in recruitment and admission for health professions programs.

Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.

Experience working in an academic institution.

Experience coordinating and organizing events.
