The Position
Full‑time, hospital employed position
Great call schedule
Experienced orthopedic surgeon preferred
Fellowship training in trauma surgery is required
Surgical services focus on inpatient with some outpatient care
State‑of‑the‑art equipment – new robots, large ORs
Great ED relationships
Healthcare system includes 2 hospital EDs and a freestanding Level II Trauma Center (designation upgrading in 2026)
Only trauma center in York County
Ortho‑Trauma Surgeon will take call for the Trauma Center
Piedmont Medical Center – A Community Built on Care Piedmont Medical Center is the main campus, Level III Trauma Center, with 288 beds and is a full service hospital in York County. Focused services: Bariatrics, Cardiovascular, Critical Care, Emergency Services, General & Robotic Surgery, Inspire Therapy for Sleep Apnea, Laboratory Medicine, Lymphedema Therapy, Neurosurgery, OBGYN, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Speech Therapy, Stroke Care, Trauma services, Vascular, Women's services, and Wound Care.
