Job Description

The Spirit of the Position: The

Vehicle Maintenance Technician

will work with the Fleet Manager and perform any required maintenance on commercial vehicles.

Pay rate:

$18/hour

Schedule:

Full time Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Principal Job Duties:

Vehicle Maintenance Technician will be stationed at Lot C maintenance shop.

Required to fill out various logs and records.

Perform maintenance on various kinds of commercial vehicles at location.

Follow the directions of the Fleet Manager.

Work closely with management

Assist with traffic when needed.

Skills & Requirements:

This position requires a chauffeur's license

Must have mechanical experience

Must show proof of working in maintenance related field in last twelve months

Must have some knowledge of commercial vehicles including gas, diesel, CNG

Must be able to operate snow removal equipment (Bobcat, salt spreaders, plow trucks)

Must be able to troubleshoot electrical related issues

Must stay in shift for a minimal of two years

Clocking in and out punctually.

Wearing complete clean company issued uniform.

Abiding by the negotiated work rules.

Remaining in your designated area unless directed otherwise by your supervisor.

Physical Demands:

Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift)

Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
