R+L Carriers is seeking part‑time Forklift Operators to work at our Birmingham, AL service center. Positions are Monday‑Friday, various shifts, starting at $24.77 per hour.
Responsibilities As a Forklift Operator you will:
• Move all types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Operate a forklift on a roofed but non‑climate‑controlled dock.
• Read manifests and interact with computer displays.
• Maintain a fast and dependable work pace.
Requirements
Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
Ability to read manifests.
Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
Forklift experience; previous experience in a fast‑paced environment preferred.
Some LTL (less‑than‑trailer‑load) experience.
Preferred Previous freight handling experience and additional LTL exposure.
