VMI Associate

in St. Louis, MO. As the VMI Associate, you will be the customer’s first choice for the products and services they need to keep their workplaces safe, efficient, and functioning. You will lead the company’s efforts for assigned SupplyMaster Program engagements and on-site customer service activities, building strong internal and external to facilitate success and extend Agilix’s reach into our customer’s locations.
Responsibilities
Communicate and support sales, customer service, and internal teams to understand customer needs, promote VMI solutions, and drive strategic sales growth through relationship-building and market insight.
Perform on‑site inventory tasks, including scanning, order entry, stocking, and data updates; support order expediting and vendor training initiatives.
Conduct daily visits to multiple customer locations using a company vehicle; maintain vehicle condition and perform regular inspections to ensure safe and professional on‑site service.
Perform crib crawls and parts cross‑referencing for VMI targets.
Implement and set up new VMI accounts.
Provide vacation and time‑off backfill for our current VMI associates.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail, manufacturing, or industrial setting with inventory management knowledge.
Familiarity with electrical, safety, or industrial distribution a plus.
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills; adaptable to shifting priorities; detail‑oriented; team player.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and inventory ERP systems.
Valid Class E/CDL with a clean driving record required.
Additional skills include customer service and support for outside sales, knowledge of vending solutions and 5S practices.
Physical Requirements
Ability to be on feet for long periods and move material.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
