Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist provides on‑site support to the warehouse and storage areas within a cannabis cultivation facility. Responsibilities include tracking and auditing finished goods and raw materials, being cross‑trained to support other departments as needed, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Track seed‑to‑sale of all products as they leave the facility.
Execute inventory control measures to minimize holding, maximize stock‑tracking efficiency, and ensure entry accuracy.
Support scheduled and random inventory audits.
Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws.
Close open audit issues by providing required evidence of sustainment.
Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and storage areas.
Immediately inform the Inventory Manager of system discrepancies.
Ensure all products are correctly labeled and accounted for in the system.
Document and update product information and labeling using the company’s seed‑to‑sale system.
Provide support to cultivation, harvest, and production teams to achieve production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
Previous experience in inventory management.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform system and physical inventory audits.
Positive attitude and teamwork skills.
Effective time‑management and multitasking skills.
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
Must comply with all laws, regulations, and industry policies.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience in a regulated production facility (food, beverage, CPG, etc.).
Physical and Mental Demands Employee must remain in stationary positions, move or position oneself, operate equipment, and handle packages up to 25 lb. Job requires standing for 90% of the time, occasional ascents/descents of ladders up to 25 ft., and work on scaffolding as needed. Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, pollen, dust, and other environmental elements is common. Close observation and adjustment of focus are required.
Working Environment Work is performed in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock risk, moderate noise levels, and changing temperature and humidity conditions.
