Job Description Brunswick’s Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC), located in Merritt Island, Florida, supports the growth and development of Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and other Brunswick boat brands. This location, formerly a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility, centralizes Brunswick’s vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient, cost-effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands.

Responsibilities

Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using a spray gun with paint.

Use a buffer with wax, polish, compound, fillers, putty, and/or paste.

Operate hand tools such as gel‑coat spray equipment, grinders, buffers, drills, or other specialty tools and fixtures.

Inspect parts and understand fiberglass finishes or basic use of abrasives.

Follow specific job instructions, frequently reading and providing verbal and/or written status of part completion.

Handle and apply solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax with proper disposal practices.

Recognize and protect precious boat components while performing finishing duties.

Requirements

PPE requirements may include face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical‑resistant suits.

Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching.

Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.

Work in a non‑climate controlled environment.

Work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals.

Work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast‑paced, noisy environment.

Work overtime (planned and unplanned).

Follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE.

Fiberglass repair and finishing experience preferred.

Understand and follow verbal and written directions.

Read and understand blueprints.

Use hand and pneumatic tools, buffer, and abrasive sanding tools/supplies.

Work with coworkers in close proximity in a team environment displaying mutual respect.

Fluently speak, read, understand, and write English.

Compensation The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.60 to $25.05 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
