Position Summary This role drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs.
Responsibilities
Models, enforces and provides direction to Associates on proper CustomerMember service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints and issues within Company guidelines and standards.
Oversees the implementation of and participates in community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as good members of the community.
Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, conducting safety, operational and quality assurance reviews, and developing action plans.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates such as hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognising performance and promoting a sense of belonging.
Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and suggesting resolutions.
Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
Builds high‑performing teams that embrace diversity and create an inclusive workplace where every Associate feels seen, supported and connected.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising Associates.
