Job Description Summary
Associate Director will lead the enablement of risk and assurance capabilities within the US Ethics, Risk & Compliance function. This role is responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics, reporting frameworks, and technology solutions that strengthen compliance processes. The individual will partner with ERC, Insights & Decision Science, DDIT, and other key teams to deliver data‑driven healthcare compliance risk management strategies and measurable compliance outcomes. In addition, the role will execute ad hoc monitoring activities that support the annual healthcare compliance risk management cycle and ensure proactive identification and mitigation of compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities
Develop dashboards and reporting for US ERC needs, partnering with the US Insights & Decision Science team.
Design enablement tools to integrate and analyze Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in risk assessment processes, informing residual risk scoring (collaboration with Corporate ERC).
Support configuration and ongoing management of the testing portal, acting as a liaison with Corporate ERC.
Evaluate out‑of‑the‑box compliance risk management solutions to inform future‑state technology stack proposals.
Translate requirements into effective systems, processes, and data‑driven solutions for risk and compliance management.
Provide analytics and insights to support risk detection and prioritization.
Ensure seamless translation of testing outcomes into Enablon and other systems for reporting.
Execute monitoring activities associated with annual risk management cycle.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS in Data Analytics, Risk Management, or related field)
Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
Product management experience preferred
5+ years in risk management, compliance, analytics, or related roles
Demonstrated experience with compliance technology solutions and data analytics
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in dashboarding and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Experience with risk assessment methodologies and KRI integration
Familiarity with compliance management platforms
Benefits & Rewards The salary for this position is expected to range between $152,600 and $283,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance‑based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US‑based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time‑off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
