Role Description The role is a full-time, on-site position based in Baltimore, MD, for an Orthopedic Technician/Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include applying and removing casts and splints, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining equipment and medical tools, and ensuring appropriate documentation and use of medical terminology. The position requires excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to quality patient care.
Qualifications
Casting and Splinting skills to assist in the application, removal, and management of orthopedic devices.
Knowledge of Orthopedics and proficiency in Medical Terminology to accurately support procedures and documentation.
Basic understanding of Medicine, particularly as it relates to orthopedic care and patient support.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent patient care and collaborate with the medical team effectively.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced medical environment.
High school diploma or GED required; certification or relevant training as an orthopedic technician or medical assistant preferred.
Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in orthopedics, is strongly preferred.
