About the Role
As an Equipment Mechanic at Pro-Vac, you will maintain our expansive fleet to ensure the delivery of high‑quality environmental services. Every day you’ll organize work orders by priority, critically analyze issues, and independently troubleshoot in a fast‑paced shop environment. Candidates must have experience working with heavy‑duty equipment and diesel trucks, be creative problem‑solvers, and eager to grow with the company.

What You’ll Love Doing
Analyzing and diagnosing equipment malfunctions or failures
Performing preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of major and minor equipment (including occasional welding & fabrication)
Executing essential repairs on gas and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical & electronic systems, brakes, hydraulic systems, suspensions, steering, and fuel systems
Completing Federal DOT inspections on commercial vehicles

At least three years of experience with heavy equipment
More than five years as a diesel mechanic in a shop
5+ years of experience in dealer‑level training with Paccar, Cummins, or Detroit
Proficiency in using computer systems & applications for daily tasks
Ability to perform PM inspections and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, electrical, and diesel emissions systems
Base salary DOE at $75,000–$85,000
