Sunflower, a generation and transmission utility serving central and western Kansas, is currently accepting applications for a Manager or Senior Manager Structural Engineering. This position can be located in our
Wichita, KS, Great Bend, KS, Garden City, KS, or Hays, KS
offices. The successful candidate will lead and oversee Sunflower’s structural design engineering group, providing expert guidance on all transmission line design, analysis, and construction activities. This role directs project planning and execution, ensuring engineering outcomes meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate strategic objectives. This manager will collaborate with internal departments and external partners, manage budgets and capital plans, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with strong quality control. Additionally, this position mentors engineering staff, supports workforce planning, and contributes to organizational leadership to advance Sunflower’s long-term transmission system goals.
