AMO is recognized globally for its engineering and consultancy services. We specialize in supporting marine operations and floating systems through advanced dynamic simulations. Our expertise includes the analysis of riser and umbilical systems, power cables, and the design and commissioning of riser integrity monitoring solutions. We deliver real-time decision support tools for drilling and marine operations, integrated with other KM bridge systems.
What you will be doing
Development and maintenance of in-house software applications and libraries, mostly built with programming languages such as C++
Design, build and maintain robust Python and .NET APIs interfacing efficient C++ implementations. Such APIs are used by our engineers, and in other KM products like RMS and K-IMS
Develop tools that enable engineers to efficiently handle large, complex datasets. Process and analyze time-series and noisy data to deliver actionable insights for engineering workflows.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and increased effectivenessand if needed develop new software tools
Participation in commercial projects and back-office support
Maintainsolid relations with other development teams in Kongsberg Maritime
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field, -preferably from informatics, physics, mathematics or equivalent
Proven experience as an engineer or software developer, with several years of seniority in technical roles.
Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and database development, with a solid understanding of software design principles.
Ability to communicate with engineers to understand actual needs
Domain-experience from companies working on solutions within marine, aerospace etc. would be an advantage
Knowledge of Finite Element Models and Analysis
Familiarity with stochastic fatigue assessment methods is considered a plus.
Fluency in English, oral and written
