Associate Director of Foundation Relations
Join Penn State University as Associate Director in the Office of Foundation Relations, part of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR).
Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary liaison to the colleges of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering, and Information Sciences & Technology.
Engage in strategic planning with university representatives to identify and develop major-gift foundation prospects.
Assist faculty and staff in preparing and submitting foundation‑aligned proposals to secure $1,000,000+ in annual commitments.
Proactively cultivate new and existing funders and maintain a prospect pool aligned with university priorities.
Build fruitful relationships between foundation officers and Penn State representatives.
Prepare briefing materials and coordinate meetings with foundation program staff, deans, chancellors, department heads, faculty, and development colleagues.
Determine annual foundation goal‑setting solicitation targets.
Develop strategies to guide collaborative interdisciplinary projects and proposal preparation.

Track record of securing foundation support and meeting annual fundraising goals.
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
