Freelance Interior Designer

Salary: $25,000 – $50,000
Job Description
Assist Designers throughout all design phases – from CAD drawings to presentations and installation.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and promptly address any issues.
Maintain FF&E and construction schedules, budgets, and design books.
Source and coordinate finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting, textiles, and window treatments.
Verify accuracy of orders and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
Track shipments to ensure timely delivery of all items.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and receiving warehouses.
Take initiative, problem solve, collaborate, and communicate effectively with the Design Team.
Client‑friendly, team player, and work well in a collaborative setting.
Proficient in reviewing shop drawings and drafting interior plans, elevations, and details.
Strong design sensibility and ability to source furnishings, lighting, and decor to suit budget and style.
Job Requirements
2–4 years full‑time experience at an architecture or interior design firm.
Strong project management and consultant/contractor coordination.
Experience with client and vendor relations.
Knowledge of NYC design resources (hard materials, millwork, textiles, plumbing, lighting, hardware, etc.).
