Overview CORT Tradeshow and Events is a leader in event furnishings, working with corporate events, festivals, weddings, and even the Superbowl. This is not a typical dock‑to‑dock Class A driving position – you will work collaboratively as part of the Operations team, loading, delivering, and installing furniture at trade‑show and event venues.
Pay:
$28 / hour, plus a $5,000 retention bonus! This position is also eligible for CORT’s Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.
Schedule:
Schedule for this position will vary based on business needs and will regularly nights, Saturdays, and Sundays. These shifts are an essential and expected part of the role.

Responsibilities
Loading Trucks: Inspect furniture to ensure acceptable condition, load truck safely, and ensure accurate loading order of items to meet delivery specifications.
Operations Planning & Communication: Attend pre‑delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations; maintain regular communication with the operations team and/or district service representatives.
Truck Inspections: Complete pre and post‑trip truck inspections; clean and prep trucks for future shifts.
Documentation and Service Logs: Complete all required written documentation. Operate an electronic logging device and accurately maintain all records of duty as determined by FMCSA.
Driving: Drive tractor‑trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans on delivery routes for company benefit in a safe and lawful manner.
Deliveries: Install and assemble furniture at trade‑show or event venues based on floor plans or client instructions, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and aesthetic presentation. Clean, touch up, or perform repairs as needed.
Pick‑ups: Inspect furniture for any customer‑inflicted damage, load in trucks, and ensure no product is left behind at venues.
Provide on‑site customer service: Interact professionally with clients during deliveries and setups, addressing questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Supervise temporary labor: Instruct temporary associates how and where to deliver, pickup, load, or unload products on‑site. Ensure work is performed as per the client’s requests and safely.
Perform warehouse duties as needed: Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and docks; put items away and organize within the warehouse; unbox and clean products.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
21 years of age or older
Valid and current Class A driver’s license in the state of residency
A minimum of 6 months professional experience driving a tractor‑trailer; 1 year of experience preferred
Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
Drivers must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, and respond to official inquiries.
Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
