The

On‑Site Maintenance Technician

will lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other preventive maintenance actions.

Provide skilled maintenance to equipment and facilities, including but not limited to production process equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems and structures.

Keep all records of corrective and preventive maintenance performed.

Detect the need for maintenance material; communicate and direct to Maintenance Supervisor.

Lead as necessary to ensure supervision and equipment maintenance is adequately provided daily.

Conduct safety compliance inspections and maintain records of production equipment.

Instruct personnel in equipment start‑up procedures and machine operation.

Purchase service components used in the repair or preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Analyze equipment failures, determine causes, and make necessary adjustments for repairs.

Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.

Seek new technologies and automation opportunities in lowering the overall cost of manufacturing.

Ensure the use of competent companies for contract work.

Plan and estimate capital projects.

Write ARFs.

Interact professionally with other employees/customers.

Manage and track project progress.

Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

Ensure mechanical and electrical maintenance of facility is performed as needed.

Perform other functions as needed.

Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Ability to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Formal apprenticeship program or higher education in industrial technology.

Three or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional work experience may substitute for formal training.

Working knowledge of the purpose and operations of cutting, forming, welding, and industrial equipment.

Basic electrical, PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.

Skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving mechanical and electrical problems.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

Sufficient human relations skills to convey technical concepts to others and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.

Basic skills in using common personal computer‑based business programs.

Ability to perform a full range of maintenance activities on process equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems.

Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and establish corrective course of action.

Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, maintain complete records, and interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications.

Ability to establish a scheduled maintenance plan.

Capable of operating a variety of machinery, tools, and welding.

General Requirements

Able to travel to other divisions when required.

Detailed and hands‑on oriented.

Working Conditions

Office and manufacturing plant environment.

Mostly indoors.

Occasionally exposed to high/cold temperatures, loud noises and fumes.

Equipment Use

Occasional use of telephone and computer.
