Position Summary The warehouse associates are responsible for receiving, handling, stocking, recording, and dispatching goods in a warehouse or distribution center, following established procedures and guidelines.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Process and load shipments; read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Unload receives and put away incoming goods; unpack bales, crates, and other containers; check for damage and discrepancies; install strapping or padding to prevent shifting or damage.

Accurately sort, label, move, and store goods; place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, style, or product codes; arrange storage to optimize space.

Weigh or count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.

Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or work orders; use pick sheets in various formats to locate items; move products using pallet jack or forklift; verify product and quantity accuracy.

Load trucks for customer delivery; install strapping or padding to prevent shifting or damage; check for discrepancies between goods and shipping work orders.

Consolidate freight for shipping as appropriate; verify shipping method; communicate oversize loads to freight carriers; ensure shipping routes are maintained.

Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up‑to‑date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries; document discrepancies on an error log and seek management advice for corrective action.

Comply with tickets or worksheets from customer specifications.

Operate warehouse equipment as needed (forklifts, cherry‑pickers, pallet jacks, or other machinery).

Assist in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.

Follow warehouse safety regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent coupled with 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.

Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse; forklift or cherry‑picker experience preferred.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with MS‑Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21, or similar systems.

Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Ability to compile routine reports and write correspondence.

Team‑oriented and self‑motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Attention to detail and safety‑mindfulness.

Must work in dusty conditions.

May handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment (shoes, gloves, eyewear, etc.).

Shift assignments may vary or rotate.

Overtime and extended day, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Must lift up to 50 lbs. or greater with assistance; regularly stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.

Require close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
