Trueline's client, a fast-growing residential roofing company, is seeking a
Sales Manager
to lead their Houston-based team. This is a field-first leadership role with high earning potential, ideal for someone who thrives in storm-driven residential sales and knows how to build, train, and motivate an outside sales force.
What You'll Do as the Sales Manager:
Hire, train, and lead a team of residential roofing sales reps
Spend 50% of your time in the field: door knocking, coaching reps on-site, and inspecting roofs
Conduct 1–2 weekly office training sessions focused on product knowledge and sales strategy
Lead by example, demonstrating effective sales techniques in storm restoration scenarios
Track and manage storm data, job activity, and customer interactions using CRMs
Collaborate with operations for smooth project handoffs and client satisfaction
Uphold a customer-first mindset and ethical sales approach
Must-Haves as the Sales Manager:
Proven experience in residential roofing and storm restoration sales
Track record of success in outside sales and team leadership
Hands-on approach to coaching, training, and leading by doing
Comfortable climbing roofs and conducting inspections as needed
Based in Houston, with no need for relocation
Nice-to-Haves as the Sales Manager:
Previous experience in insurance claims or other forms of outside sales
Experience mentoring newer reps in a field sales environment
Our Client Offers:
Base salary of $65K–$75K plus a generous commission structure tied to personal and team performance ($120K-$150K earning potential)
Commission paid not only on personal sales, but also on deals closed by new reps under your training
