Job Description Salary: $28.00 - $30.00 Overview: We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Myrtle Beach-based team. In this full-time role, youll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment used in hydrodemolition and concrete cutting operations. Job Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, braking systems, suspensions, electrical components, and other mechanical systems on Class 68 vehicles and heavy equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and detailed troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs with team leads and supervisors. Collaborate with other shop personnel and operators to prioritize repairs and support active job sites. Travel occasionally to perform on-site repairs or maintenance as needed. Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safety procedures at all times. Minimum Qualifications: 35 years of experience as a diesel technician in a fleet, construction, or heavy equipment setting. Proven experience working on Class 68 trucks (preferred). Must have own set of mechanic hand tools. Valid drivers license and ability to drive DOT-regulated vehicles. CDL is a plus. Must be able to complete a DOT physical and obtain a valid Medical Examiners Certificate. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs, crawling under vehicles, and working in various positions. Weekend availability and overtime as needed.
