America's Car-Mart is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our friendly team. If you have previous experience in or would like to get into the Automotive Inventory field this position is for you! Compensation $30 - $40 per flag hour
Qualifications
Experience in all subsystems of vehicles preferred (engine, heater and a/c, steering/suspension, brakes, drivetrain, electrical subsystems).
Ability to diagnose electrical systems on vehicles.
Ability to use a computer to follow service information instructions and research solutions to new problems.
Ability to follow a diagnostic procedure and record test results.
Ability to adapt and change your approach to the problem at hand to work to find a solution; design tests for unexpected problems.
Must have own vehicle scanner and tools.
Skills
Basic knowledge of vehicles.
Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers).
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions.
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
Very good communication skills.
A problem-solving ability.
High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
Additional Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to follow directions.
This is a full‑time position with the ability for growth into Automotive technician.
