New Truck Sales Representative – Reefer Peterbilt
Location: New Boston
Job Summary We are seeking a New Truck Salesperson for our New Boston location. A New Truck Sales Representative is responsible for selling new medium and heavy duty trucks to individuals and commercial transport enterprises. Your duties involve communicating with customers in person and by phone or email to close a sale, providing information on available vehicles to prospective customers, and explaining truck financing, such as down payments, interest, and warranties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in person.
Follow department procedures in completing truck paperwork using available system tools, including Peterbilt Smart Spec and E‑Portal.
Coordinate service work with the Service Department.
Coordinate financing and insurance with the appropriate departments and the customer.
Attend required meetings and other appointed times consistently to conduct and maintain sales department business.
Build and maintain professional relationships with other truck dealers, truck buyers, and truck wholesalers.
Provide the Sales Manager with a weekly call log using CRM.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required to cold call customers daily.
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record; a CDL is a plus.
Must be able to grow the assigned sales territory.
Must maintain existing Reefer Peterbilt sales accounts.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in truck sales.
Must be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must meet established performance criteria as determined by the Sales Manager.
