As the
Vice President of Sales , you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by generating new business, managing and expanding key client relationships, and strengthening Purpose Legal’s market presence. As a member of the global sales organization, this role focuses on building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, engaging with current and prospective clients, and effectively communicating the Purpose Legal value proposition to meet and exceed revenue targets within an assigned territory. This role requires mid-level sales experience and reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of Purpose Legal’s full suite of services and articulate their value clearly and confidently to prospective and existing clients
Establish credibility as a trusted advisor by delivering strategic insights, creative solutions, and consistent follow-through
Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to identify, pursue, and maximize revenue opportunities
Balance urgency in closing deals with a consultative sales approach that uncovers client needs and fosters long-term growth
Own and execute tactical account strategies to generate and expand business within assigned accounts and territories
Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline from initial identification through deal close
Maintain an active schedule of new client meetings, industry networking events, and relationship-building activities
Monitor competitive activity and market trends to inform sales strategy and positioning
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a similar field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
4–6 years of quota-carrying experience in new business development within legal services or legal-focused SaaS, cloud, or subscription-based organizations
Proven, documented track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
Demonstrated success managing multiple sales cycles of varying length simultaneously
Strong discipline in developing and executing detailed target account plans
High level of comfort with business development activities, including account penetration, public speaking, and client presentations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and growing a high-impact business
Ideal Qualifications
Proven success selling large-scale eDiscovery and/or Managed Review services
Established relationships and a preexisting client base within law firms
Experience working within the eDiscovery, CMS, or big data analytics industries
Challenger sales mindset with the ability to lead value-driven, insight-based conversations
