GDIT is seeking a QA Tester to ensure the quality, security, and compliance of a new healthcare portal built on a modern Azure-native stack. This role will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to validate applications and services in a FedRAMP/HIPAA-compliant environment. The QA Tester will work closely with front-end, back-end, and data teams to ensure applications meet functional, accessibility, and performance requirements while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications, APIs, and data workflows. Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Use Selenium (or similar tools) for automated browser testing of React front-end components. Validate API endpoints in Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Functions using automated and manual testing approaches. Perform SQL validation testing to ensure data integrity between Azure SQL, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI reports. Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and conduct accessibility testing. Document and track defects and issues in JIRA, working with developers to ensure timely resolution. Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including test automation integration and reporting. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to align testing with development cycles. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5+ years of experience in QA testing for web applications and APIs. Must have hands‑on experience with Selenium (or equivalent automated browser testing tools). Experience testing in Azure environments, including API, function, and database validation. Familiarity with SQL for data validation and backend testing. Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility testing tools. Experience with Agile testing practices and defect tracking in JIRA. Preferred Qualifications / Certifications
Experience testing in FedRAMP/HIPAA or other regulated environments. Familiarity with SonarCloud or other code quality tools. Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6). ISTQB or other software testing certifications. Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools (Azure DevOps, Power BI validation). Salary range: $85,093 – $92,000. Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
