About the job Paralegal (structured credit) hybrid
Our client, a top 100 law firm, is seeking a Paralegal specializing in Structured Credit. This role demands an understanding of the transactional lifecycle and the complex procedures associated with structured finance deals.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently perform tasks to allow for reasonable billing of services.
Achieve a billable hours target of 1,725 annually.
Under attorney supervision, manage the coordination, organization, and interpretation of complex transaction documents, maintain databases, and ensure proper filing and distribution of documents.
Organize and maintain diligence materials and documents, prepare signature pages, and assemble closing binders.
Handle the filing of UCC financing statements, order and review UCC lien searches and corporate documents, and coordinate with external vendors.
Conduct factual research using both internal and external databases.
Collaborate with other firm departments to streamline processes and fulfill department needs.
Work overtime and travel as necessary.
Manage additional related projects as assigned.
Skilled in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experienced in online legal research and internet search resources like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
Proficient in using transactional software tools such as SimplyAgree and Litera.
Familiar with timekeeping and expense reporting applications.
Knowledgeable in legal billing processes.
Qualifications:
2 years of paralegal experience.
2 years of experience in structured credit or corp/transactional area.
A Bachelors Degree is required.
An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
