Sign-on bonus:
$20,000 sign‑on bonus for 5+ years of experience; $10,000 sign‑on bonus for less than 5 years.
Job Summary The CT/Rad Technician performs diagnostic imaging/CT procedures to diagnose and treat anatomic and physiologic disorders.
Duties / Responsibilities
Reviews physician orders and explains the procedure to the patient and/or family member; provides additional patient education as needed.
Maintains adequate inventory of supplies, equipment maintenance, and quality control, including visual safety inspections, warm‑up procedures, and quality control activities.
Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date medical records and documentation in a timely manner.
Provides instruction for students.
Operates diagnostic imaging/CT equipment and performs and evaluates technical and diagnostic quality procedures.
Education Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences or completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
Experience Previous radiologic experience and/or cross‑training in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
Licensure / Certification
Current RT(R) registry or RT(R) eligible; current radiation operator’s certification (general or temporary license) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky required.
Additional RT(R) (T) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within three months of hire.
Physical / Work Requirements Employee must sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and communicate effectively. Vision requirement includes close vision for reading and computer work. Employee must lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs. Work environment includes good lighting and climate control; noise level usually moderate.
