Automotive Parts Coordinator I – Cox Automotive Inc.
The Automotive Parts Coordinator I is responsible for parts ordering within the retail collision center and auction paint and body repair departments, ensuring vehicle repairs meet customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
Place orders for collision center and auction paint/body repair shops.
Receive parts into system.
Check received parts for correctness.
Confirm and communicate proper parts order timing.
Return parts for credit.
Match parts to correct invoices and return to front office daily.
Order shop supplies including paint and general labor supplies.
Assist with inventory management and maintain equipment, supplies, and tools in good working condition.
Provide monthly inventory to accounting.
Perform quality control checks on all work; report exceptional or unsatisfactory work to supervision.
Ensure customer expectations are met on all completed work.
Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned; overtime may be required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 year of experience related to automotive parts.
Solid computer skills required.
Effective communication and organizational skills; strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Experience in installing/ordering automotive parts preferred.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bodywork, frame damage and minor mechanical repairs.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer focused with strong attention to detail.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
Ability to constantly enter and exit vehicles.
Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
Manual dexterity and repetitive motion tasks.
Work Environment Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $15.10 – $22.69/hour, varying by location and candidate qualifications. Additional compensation may include commission and/or incentive programs.
Benefits Employees receive at least sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays per year, plus additional paid leave options (bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, parental). The role requires current authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship is provided.
