Summary The Rail prep role is responsible for preparing Rails for anodizing. This includes inspecting Barletta-produced finished products for defects to ensure the highest level of quality for our customers by checking all parts for defects. Individuals in this role must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

Inspect finished product to ensure they are built according to schedule and by print.

Remove defects with hand sanding.

Operate small hand tools to remove burs and drill drain holes.

Operate Rail Brush Machine.

Climb in and out of boats and work in proximity with others.

Lift and carry rails from storage to prep table. Place finished rails in shipping racks.

Push and pull rail delivery racks to exit doors for pick-up.

Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.

Job Requirements

At least 2 years' experience working in a team-focused manufacturing environment (preferred)

Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements required of the position, including but not limited to: ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8+ hours and lift upward of 40 lbs.

Must possess good work ethic, positive attitude, and be motivated to meet and/or exceed production goals.

Ability to work flexible hours (overtime/weekends) if needed.

Flexibility to take on additional assignments given by supervisor as required/needed to support production goals.

Great attendance and reliability is required.

Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards. Ability to wear required PPE to support our Barletta Safe culture of “zero harm”.
