Due to growth, we are adding a Senior Scheduler to our Houston team. In this role you will be scheduling projects between $20 million and $300 million. The ideal candidate is a current Scheduler for a Commercial General Contractor and must be proficient in writing schedules in Primavera P6.

Essential Job Functions

Establish, maintain, and train project teams on company scheduling standards and best practices.

Oversee the timely and accurate development and updating of project schedules using Primavera P6.

Perform resource loading and analysis, integrating data into schedules to support project planning and tracking.

Conduct cost loading and analysis, ensuring financial alignment within schedules using Primavera P6.

Lead the creation of bid proposal schedules that clearly define work sequences and contract timelines.

Assist with the development and maintenance of baseline schedules, serving as the foundation for project execution.

Analyze the overall Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule, coordinating with Project Managers and Superintendents to align procurement and construction activities.

Monitor schedule quality and integrity, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project phases.

Monitor weekly and monthly schedule updates, providing critical path and near-critical path insights to project teams.

Lead the fragmentation (fragnet) of schedules to address changes or delays, proposing actionable solutions.

Serve as the primary technical advisor on scheduling issues, resolving complex problems and mitigating risks.

Guide project teams in developing short-term schedules, recovery plans and delay claim analyses, ensuring master schedule alignment.

Mentor junior schedulers and team members, fostering scheduling expertise across the organization.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

5‑10+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or design, with a focus on commercial construction.

Expert‑level proficiency in Primavera P6, including advanced resource and cost‑loading techniques.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Proven ability to manage complex schedules in a deadline‑driven, fast‑paced environment.

Detail‑oriented with a track record of delivering accurate, high‑quality scheduling solutions.

Professional demeanor with exceptional customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive project data.

Certification (e.g., PMI‑SP, PSP) preferred but not required.
