Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney I - Part-time Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney I:
Perform professional legal work prosecuting criminal suspects on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, County and Town of Appomattox; perform legal research in the preparation of criminal trials and appellate litigation; prosecute misdemeanor and felony cases at all court levels, jury and non-jury trials; provide assistance to the general public, victims of crime, and legal advice to law enforcement and magistrates; interview witnesses; manage multiple assignments and deadlines; draft indictments; other duties as assigned by the Commonwealth’s Attorney. Experience preferred but will consider a “trainable” candidate. Salary to be determined, part-time.
