Restaurant Manager Responsible for management of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with service and operational standards, maximization of profits in the hotel and outlets. Responsible for the restaurant functions, including production of new menus, creating and implementing food promotions, developing portion specifications and maintaining a high quality of service, staff supervision and development. Must have previous restaurant and beverage management experience, preferable from a hotel.
Responsibilities
Reviewing staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
Identifying any developmental needs of your team and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping them to improve their knowledge or skills
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish goals
Ensuring compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards, procedures by training, supervising, providing follow‑up and hands‑on management, and all applicable laws and regulations, as well as food handling and sanitation standards
Ensuring staff understands local, state, and federal liquor laws
Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
Handling guest problems and complaints while delivering excellent customer service
Meeting with guests on an informal basis (during meals or upon departure) to obtain feedback on quality of food and beverage, service levels, and overall satisfaction
Ensuring corrective action is taken to continuously improve service results
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
Or 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
Ability to approach difficult situations with a customer service focus
Ability to manage / supervise a diverse team and delegate tasks accordingly
Benefits Health Insurance – available to full‑time associates on the first of the month after hire.
