The W.F. Young team is seeking an
eCommerce Inventory Specialist
who is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient inventory management across our eCommerce channels, including Amazon FBA. This role oversees consigned stock, coordinates logistics with internal teams and 3PL partners, and supports fulfillment accuracy to keep products consistently available for customers. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, proven experience in eCommerce or supply chain operations, and a desire to drive continuous improvement within a growing organization. This position is based on site at our East Longmeadow home office.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
Manage all aspects of eCommerce consigned inventory (primarily Amazon FBA), including replenishment, storage, and compliance, in partnership with the eCommerce team/stakeholders
Design and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies tailored for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business model.
Incorporate promotional events and demand needs into inventory planning, procurement, and replenishment cycles.
Develop a thorough understanding of Amazon Seller Central account-KPIs, reporting, inventory adjustments, etc.
Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as Weeks of Supply, fulfillment accuracy, shipping speed, and internal customer satisfaction.
3PL & Logistics Coordination
Cultivate and manage key relationships with 3rd-party logistics (3PL) partners and other logistics providers to optimize service and delivery.
Supervise 3PL prep and label operations, ensuring high standards for quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to maintain optimal stock levels
Process Improvement & Cross Functional Collaboration
Analyze and inform management of customer cost change implications
Drive continuous process improvements to boost operational efficiency, cost reduction/containment and scalability.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory alignment, smooth operations, and optimal product allocation.
Monitor eCommerce industry trends, best practices, tools and innovations to stay competitive in the market.
Other Duties
Prepare, review and publish the Ecommerce Weeks of Supply Report
Provide back-up for cross-functional and department staff as needed.
Evaluate processes and make recommendations for department efficiencies.
Conduct periodic consigned inventory reconciliations on eCommerce inventory platforms.
Key Qualifications
Associate’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, Engineering or related field; or High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in D2C eCommerce inventory operations or supply chain management, or related field.
Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management, distribution, and business operations, along with best practices
Proven experience as an Inventory Analyst with demonstrated success in inventory planning, distribution, and logistics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and contractors at all levels of the business.
Must have a growth mindset
Willingness and ability to work in fast-paced environment
Desire and ability to embrace new technology and processes that support the business
Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems (i.e.: ERP and Quality Management systems)
Salary Range : $59,200 - $68,900 *compensation based on candidate’s experience*
