Medfamily Wellcare Center is hiring a
Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC)
to provide confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community.
Location: Wilmington, NC. Salary range: $62,126.00 – $83,870.50. Full‑time, in‑person.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments, identify treatment needs, and assist with treatment planning and funding options.
Offer individual, family, and group counseling on addiction issues and educate high‑risk populations.
Support clients in achieving recovery goals, maintain documentation, and collaborate with community resources.
Adhere to confidentiality laws, standards, and policies.
Participate in interagency collaboration.
Qualifications
Required licenses: LCAS‑A, LCAS, or CADC.
At least 1 year of substance use disorder (SUD) counseling experience.
Strong knowledge of addiction treatment principles, community services, and confidentiality requirements.
