We’re modernizing our risk data platform to deliver trusted insights for regulatory reporting and enterprise risk management. As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you’ll architect and deliver AWS-native pipelines aligned to the Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
Typically works under the direction of a Lead Developer. Likely to involve working closely with business analysts to ensure requirements are clear and well understood, with other developers to ensure the approach and code can be integrated, and with the application software testers to support their testing plans and resolve bugs.**Job Description*****This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.*****Responsibilities** **and Skills Needed*** Build **batch & streaming pipelines** using **Glue, Glue Streaming, Lambda, S3, Athena, Iceberg*** Enable **CDC ingestion** with **Kafka topics** and **JDBC connectors*** Optimize **Iceberg tables** and **Athena queries** for performance* Drive **CI/CD automation** with **Azure DevOps*** Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Governance teams* Apply domain expertise in **Market Risk** and **XVA processing** to ensure accurate and timely risk calculations* Work with **relational databases** like **Oracle** and **MSSQL** for upstream and downstream integration* **Nice-to-have:** Experience with **AWS SageMaker**, **Bedrock**, and **Redshift** for advanced analytics and AI-driven insights**Education**Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, Bachelor’s: Data Science**Work Experience**General Experience - 3 to 6 years**Certifications****Travel**Less than 25%**Workstyle**HybridAt Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view.
