Sunrise Day Camp, for children ages 3 ½ – 16, is the only dedicated full summer day camp in the world for children with cancer and their siblings. It is a camp designed to meet the emotional, social, recreational and physical needs of these children while allowing them to enjoy the comforts and safety of their own homes at night.
Sunrise Day Camp offers a full, multi‑week summer activity program plus year‑round camp‑like programs. These additional programs take place at our campgrounds and other locations that provide exclusive use of their facilities. Additionally, our in‑hospital program Sunrise On Wheels allows children to experience “camp” in the hospital by providing activities for those who are awaiting treatment.
Best of all, Sunrise Day Camp is offered free of charge to all children being treated for cancer and their siblings on a non‑sectarian basis. By raising the needed funds from outside sources instead of charging the parents, we can help to alleviate some of the costs, and the related stress, that parents incur caring for a sick child throughout the year. Children who have received medical clearance from their physicians are welcome to attend. Though 7.5 weeks of camp programming is offered, children may register and attend any and every day they feel well enough to do so.

Sunrise Day Camp is actively hiring individuals to serve as a Yoga Specialist. We are looking for individuals who are
mature,
responsible, energetic, creative
and
excited
to make a tremendous impact in the lives of our children. IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE TEACHING YOGA TO ALL AGES. This individual must be able to keep children engaged and entertained along with bringing a positive attitude. Specialists will be expected to create and facilitate activities for campers ages 3 ½ -16, participate in all camp activities, and be a positive role model for campers. Camp typically runs from the last week of June to mid‑August 2026, with exact dates to be confirmed. Mandatory training sessions will take place in June, with dates to be announced.
