Sy Systems Engineer – RUCKUS Networks
Job Location : Alabama, United States (Remote, 50% or more travel required to Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi).
Salary Range : $100,000 – $145,000 per year.
Job Summary Take charge of Channel Partner development and enablement for our regional partners in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. Deliver technical demos, proof‑of‑concept trials, training sessions, design input, and solution-focused selling across all levels of decision makers.
Responsibilities
Pre‑sales engineering: network design, RF passive/active planning, bill of materials creation, sales opportunity engagement.
Develop and drive territory account plans aligned with industry economics and trends.
Provide technical expertise and product knowledge on RUCKUS wireless, wired, and software solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor, positioning RUCKUS solutions competitively.
Partner with Territory/Partner Account Managers to achieve revenue and quota goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 5 years pre‑sales or equivalent experience with routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi technologies.
Professional or associate‑level networking certification (e.g., CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, RUCKUS, CWNA). Preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, technical presentation, and communication skills.
Desired Skills
Advanced pre‑sales engineering and account management acumen.
Effective communication with executive‑level stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of Wi‑Fi technologies (Wi‑Fi 5/6/7), network design, troubleshooting, optimization, IP routing, SD‑WAN, SASE, security, and cloud services.
Experience with Wi‑Fi design tools (e.g., Ekahau, Hamina) and API/DevOps concepts.
Familiarity with technologies such as VLAN, VoIP, QoS, BYOD, mesh, controller architectures, RF design, packet analysis, and WLAN security.
