Electronic Technician – 12+ month Contract | Norwood, MA
Pay Range: $20/hr - $26/hr (The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems. Test and calibrate electronic assemblies using test equipment and standardized procedures. Perform final inspection and prepare electronic products prior to shipment to customers worldwide. Test, debug, and repair returned products to meet customer needs. Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and established company policies and procedures are adhered to. Keep workstation, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner. Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations. Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, or equivalent military training/experience. 2+ years’ electronic/manufacturing technician experience. 2+ years’ experience with hand assembly/soldering and component replacement on surface mount and through‑hole PCBs. 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies. Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults in analog and digital PCBAs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools. Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience with surface‑mount and through‑hole soldering and desoldering. Experience using software‑based diagnostic tools and firmware flashing utilities. Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics. Ability to use standard bench test equipment (DMM, Scope, etc.). Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑1711/7721) for PCB inspection rework. Demonstrated ability to isolate component‑level failures and perform corrective actions.
